New analysis reports to be demonstrated at Nordbygg Show, 5-8th April, in Stockholm

  • More than 200 manufacturers currently benefit from hosting 3D product models in MagiCloud’s feature-rich BIM library
  • MagiCloud is gathering relevant data to present to manufacturers about the popularity of their products, including product model views and usage
  • Manufacturers will begin to receive customised analysis reports from MagiCloud

Progman, the leading provider of MEP design solutions, has today announced new features in MagiCloud, the largest BIM library of MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) products. Manufacturers whose products are included in the library of 3D product models will begin to receive analysis reports showing their products’ popularity. They will be able to see the number of views and usage of their MEP products, and whether any additional requests for products have been made. This service is free with all existing MagiCAD databases.

MagiCloud is continually evolving to give manufacturers greater control over their product and technical data. Right now, manufacturers can gain access to a dedicated subdomain (such as brand.magicloud.cn) where their customers can view product data and use product models directly. In addition, it’s possible for manufacturers to embed a database of their 3D product models into their own websites. They can also upload additional product brochures or complementary information for any product in their customised library. They can even add their own advertising to the library product pages.

“A powerful control portal is being developed which will soon be available for manufacturers on MagiCloud. We are constantly evolving so that MagiCloud will be the most feature-rich BIM library on the market,” said Jukka Nyman, Managing Director at Progman. “Our end-users – typically MEP designers – are benefitting from the ability to use 3D product models directly in their Revit or AutoCAD designs. This gives manufacturers a direct sales channel into designers before the build begins. It also gives manufacturers unique information about how their products are performing through MagiCloud’s usage statistics. Data is power, and these statistics can inform sound business decisions.”

Some of the world’s leading manufacturers already use MagiCloud. These include ACO, Belimo, Systemair, Lindab and Trox, among many others.
